INTRODUCTION

The Department of Pathology, PGICH was started in the year 2015 with expansion in the year 2016-17.The uniqueness of the department lies in the fact that it is a standalone pediatric pathology set up in Uttar Pradesh which is also a teaching department. The department was established with a vision to make it a state-of-the-art referral centre for all pediatric diagnostic workup. The department also aimed at starting various academic programmes to provide a platform for a unique and nascent branch like pediatric pathology to grow in North India. The department has come a long way, growing slowly yet steadily in its effort to achieve its objectives of providing holistic diagnostic facility for the Paediatric population and provide teaching, training and research in the field of Paediatric Pathology.
